Conditions of sale and procedure to place order

All users who have registered on the site, compiling the prepared form, may place an order.

When the articles have been placed in the shopping basket, the order may be completed by inserting the type of delivery required.

By sending of the order, the customer sends the virtual shop a proposal to buy the selected product(s).

The bank will provide all the information to continue and will provide the details of payment made.

The order summary will be sent by e-mail and confirms reception of the order. The virtual shop will check availability of the product(s) requested and inform the customer by e-mail or telephone, as indicated, whether the order can be accepted.

The virtual shop, or one of its distributors, will then deliver the product(s) to the shipper responsible for onward delivery to the indicated address. An e-mail will be sent to confirm delivery.

Cancellation of order

The customer may cancel the order within 24 hours by e-mail, fax or telephone. The system will send an e-mail confirming the cancellation of the order.

Cancellation Right (Legisl. Decree no. 185 of 22/05/1999)

The Cancellation Right consists of the possibility for the consumer of requesting the reimbursement for the product or service purchased through the virtual shop.

The Cancellation Right is applicable to individuals (consumers) acting for purposes considered unattached to any commercial activities they might have. The cancellation right does not therefore apply to purchases made by resellers and companies.

The consumer has the right to exercise his Cancellation Right within a period of ten days from delivery of the product.

Within 30 days of reception of the request to exercise the Cancellation Right, the virtual shop will effect the reimbursement to the customer of the sum paid, bar any delivery costs (para. 5, section 6, Legisl. Decree 185 of 22/05/1999). Expenses incurred for returning the article(s) cannot be required from the consumer if said article(s) was (were) not ordered, different to that agreed of defective.

The Cancellation Right does not apply to contracts for the supply of personalised or made-to-measure products.

    In order to exercise the Cancellation Right, the customer must:
  • have the original invoice as proof of purchase;
  • indicate the code(s) of the products to be returned;
  • indicate the bank details (sort code, account number of customer) to which the draft payment should be made. If the customer requesting the Cancellation Right does not have a bank account, he may request that the repayment be made via a banker’s draft of postal order made out to him;
  • contact the Customer Service of the virtual shop in which the purchase was made by e-mail or telephone in order to obtain the Authorisation Code for Return;
  • send a registered letter with advice of receipt to the postal address of the virtual shop, containing the written and signed declaration of the request to exercise the Cancellation Right, and including all the required details indicated above.

    After obtaining the Authorisation Code for Return from the Customer Service, the customer must:
  • carefully pack the article(s) in such a way as to protect the original packing of the product(s) from any damage, writing or application of labels;
  • note the Authorisation Code for Return in visible form on the parcels sent;
  • Send the article(s) at his/her own cost (free port).

    The articles will be rejected in the following cases:
  • delivery without authorisation;
  • the articles received are without packaging or in packaging not suitable for the type of product;
  • the articles received do not fully correspond to the authorisation request made of our customer services;
  • the articles received are not in perfect condition

Right to Privacy

Information concerning the processing of personal details

Governed by Legislative Decree no. 196 of 2003 concerning the protection of confidentiality with regard to personal details.

The owner of the data processing is Olimpic Sails S.n.c.

The objectives of the processing are: respect of legal requirements, fulfilment of contract, pursuit of aims of interactive commercial information (with possible sending of advertising material), improved knowledge of customer’s requirements.

No sensitive data are processed in any way. The procedures foresee the use of automatic and manual processes. Any communication of distribution of the data is limited exclusively to the supplier and parties required for the fulfilment of the contract or respect of legal requirements.

    The processes excluded from consent are:
  • those regarding the fulfilment of legal or contractual obligations;
  • data relative to the connections made by the customer, which may be processed anonymously at source or for the purposes of security.

In accordance with para. 7 of the relevant law, the customer may consult, add to, have modified or cancel details held about him/her at any time and completely free of charge, or oppose their use wholly or in part, by writing to Olimpic Sails S.n.c. - Via delle Saline, 123 - 34100 Muggia (TS) Italy, or by sending a fax to +39 040 232482.

The duration of the processing is limited to ten years, at the end of which the data will be destroyed. The consequence of refusal to accord permission for the processing of data is the impossibility of stipulating a contract. The customer is protected by the rights set out in para. 7 of law 196/2003.

Permission for processing of personal details

Having read the above notes, the customer hereby agrees to any details included during registration and upon use of the service being processed as described in the notes.

Shipping costs

The table below indicates the minimum and maximum costs for the various sizes, divided by geographical area. The exact shipping costs will be calculated when the purchase order is finalised, and depends on the number of products in the shopping basket.
