Cruising Gennaker

The research carried out for the asymmetric spinnakers for regatta open yachts helped in the development of a sail very easy to use in the downwind sailing. This philosophy led to the Cruising Gennaker of Olimpic Sails.

The Cruising Gennaker is an asymmetric spinnaker with a closer head-angle and a flatter profile if compared to the regatta version. The fabrics are generally strong/heavy so that one sail can face every different wind condition. The use of the Spinnaker snuffer allows you to hoist your spinnaker even with few persons aboard or when crew members are not experts.
