In line with our high standards for One Design sails the choice of materials have been extremely accurate and "miles" of fabrics have been used during our tests.

For the new CRC Mainsails we have elected as the best fabrics available for the purpose the 130 HTP+ and the 165 HTP+ produced by Dimension-Polyant. These two fabrics are combined together using the heavier one for the top and lower sections and the lighter one for the middle part.

For the AR2 Jibs there's practically one single choice: the usual 130 HTP+, less delicate and of proved efficiency if compared with possible alternatives offered on the market.

For our previous models, things are slightly different. The 130HTP+ is used both for RS1 Main and AR1 Jib. Furthermore we can offer our customers an alternative choice:

- the Mylar PM05 from DP, less elastic but softer than Dacron. When brand new, it gives some advantages both up and down -wind. The disadvantage is its shorter life, as it suffers much more for the friction on the mast and on the pole, this causing a quite quick deformation of the Leech.

- a combination of two different styles: the 130 HTP+ together with the 2.7 made by Contender. In this case the panels are positioned considering the loads in the different areas of the sail.
